What to Expect at WWE Night of Champions 2023

The WWE will move forward with several highly anticipated storylines at the Night of Champions 2023. The biggest is arguably the feud between the tag team champs Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens vs. Roman Reigns and the Bloodline. After the Usos failed to win back the championship at Smackdown, Roman Reigns decided to take matters into his own hands.

Zayn and Owens failed to beat Reigns for the Undisputed Universal title earlier this year. However, the fan favorites dealt a blow to the Bloodline by winning the tag titles at WrestleMania 39. How the Usos will respond to Reigns’ lack of faith in them remains to be seen.

As is usually the case with Roman and the Bloodline, expect outside interference to play a role in the outcome of this title match.

The WWE decided to re-introduce the World Heavyweight Championship after WrestleMania with a tournament on RAW and Smackdown to determine the finalists for the title. Seth Rollins and AJ Styles emerged as the final two, and we can expect a firecracker of a match between these two high-flying professionals. This could be a classic!

Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar will face each other for the second time in as many PPV events. At Backlash, Cody Rhodes stole the win when he reversed a submission attempt into a pin-fall to get the 1-2-3. However, Lesnar did not take the loss well and continued to attack Rhodes at subsequent WWE events. Fans can expect a bloody and heavy-hitting encounter.

Bianca Belair vs. Asuka and Gunther vs. Mustafa Ali round up this exciting PPV. While most fans will expect the champions to retain their title, there may be a surprise in store, especially if Zayn and Owens decide to interfere in the Ring General’s bout.
